My Wisdom Pearls pattern is inspired by Veronica Franco (1546–1591), the Italian poet and courtesan renowned for her beauty, wit, and charm — as well as her sharp intellect and political acumen — who rose to prominence within the literary community of the Italian Renaissance. However, her success also made her a target for accusations of immorality.

Despite the many challenges she faced, Veronica remained a steadfast advocate for women’s rights, becoming a lasting symbol of female empowerment in a society that frequently marginalized and silenced women.
