My Moon Lighting pattern is inspired by Florence Knoll (1917-2019), an American architect and designer. 

Florence’s pioneering designs and modernist approach to furniture and interiors helped define the look of mid-century America. Her design aesthetic was characterized by its clean lines, functionalism, and minimalism, which reflected her belief that furniture should serve as a “background for life” rather than a statement piece.

Known for her elegant and functional designs and dedication to her eponymous furniture company, which she co-founded in the 1940s, Florence also found time to moonlight on freelance projects, including designing interiors for some of the world’s leading corporations.
